Mammogram and ultrasound reports can be confusing.
Terms like “probably,” “likely,” and “suspicious” can be scary.
It is imperative that if your breast imaging was conducted outside of Holy Cross Health, you MUST bring copies of the films for Dr. Burgers to review. These are typically provided on CDs that can be viewed on the computer. While it may seem old fashioned to carry CDs, “pictures are worth a thousand words” and Dr Burgers can render her best opinion if you provide them for her to view.

(remember to ask for a disc with your images!)
Decode the birads score for you
Offer in-office second opinion ultrasound
Offer same day biopsy of concerning findings
Provide scripts for further imaging
